The original MD Tech Connect event in 2015 was designed by the Division of Library Development & Services and MDLIBTECH (formerly Sailor Network Managers Group, aka SNMG) in conjunction with library technology consultant Carson Block. Since 2015, MD Tech Connect has been held annually at The Universities at Shady Grove, with the exception of 2020 and 2021, when the event was held virtually.
